Jessica Alba Celebrates Her Baby Girl

Mom-to-be Jessica Alba celebrated the upcoming birth of her first child with an intimate baby shower in Los Angeles Sunday.

The 26-year-old welcomed about 40 guests – including fellow actresses Rashida Jones and Jaime King – to the lunchtime baby bash at the new Ever After Tea House in Studio City. Her big announcement: She’s having a girl.

“She’s been telling friends she’s having a girl,” says a source, who confirms Alba received a lot of pink gifts at her shower, including a onesie from L.A.’s Intuition.

Alba also registered at Bel Bambini (where Christina Aguilera shopped), and received the Bloom Fresco High Chair from a friend. She is decorating her nursery with organic products and got several items from Soleil Moon Frye’s eco-friendly store The Little Seed

As jazz played in the background, the crowd dined under white umbrellas on skewers of tiger shrimps, chocolate-covered strawberries and mini pastries and sipped on “Life’s a Peach” Bellinis, E! online reports.

Alba’s fiancé, Cash Warren, arrived after the luncheon to help tow away the gifts.

Pamela Anderson Gets E! Reality Show

Pamela Anderson is getting the reality show treatment. The former Baywatch beauty will star in an “observational documentary” series — tentatively titled Pamela — set to debut this summer on E!.

According to a network release, “Viewers will get to know the real woman behind the famous breasts and follow Pam as she tries to juggle love, career and peace of mind. Going beyond the fame and fortune, this is Pam at her core, living her life with no regrets.” And Randy Barbato, managing director of World of Wonder Productions, promises the 30-minute series will be “artistically rich and visually stunning.”

The show will focus on Anderson alone — and will not feature her children — unlike another E! show, which stars Denise Richards and her two daughters. By adding her name to the list of Hollywood women getting reality shows on the network, Anderson joins Dina Lohan as well as Richards.

Carrie Underwood Reveals Text-Message Split from Chace

When Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford split up, the couple called it quits digital style, says the country star.

“It was completely mutual,” Underwood told Extra at the taping of Idol Gives Back. “We broke up over text so … it’s like ‘peace out.’ ”

According to Underwood, the breakup wasn’t a tearful confrontation, but a realization that the romance just wasn’t meant to be between her and the Gossip Girl hunk. “It just didn’t work,” she said. “We both knew it didn’t work and [had] no hard feelings at all whatsoever.”

Although the couple hasn’t spoken recently, Underwood has nothing negative to say about her ex. “I don’t dislike him, so it’s no big deal.”

The split was a bit harder on Crawford, however. “He was upset about the breakup,” his sister, Candice, said last week. “It’s always hard when you lose a relationship.”

Underwood reveals that her high profile relationship was made harder by fame. “It’s difficult while you’re dating because people always make a lot bigger deal of things than they actually are,” she tells Extra. “Then when you break up with somebody and then like two months later it comes out and it’s like you’re rehashing old stuff. I don’t know what that’s all out now.”

Kelly Clarkson Says It ‘Sucks’ New Songs Were Leaked

Kelly Clarkson is speaking her mind again, this time about Internet leaks of four new pop songs she’s been working on.

“The fact that people have heard music that’s not ready yet sucks,” the first American Idol winner, 25, tells Billboard of her Nashville-inspired tracks, “but I hope they like it.”

Last week, the demos – “Close Your Eyes,” “Ready,” “One Day” and “With a Little Bit of Luck” – were posted on the music blog Pretty Much Amazing!, and their iffy sound quality reflected the fact that they’re works in progress. As of Monday morning, all four were removed from the site.

“I write all the time,” says the Breakaway Grammy winner, who recently wrapped up a successful 2 Worlds 2 Voices Tour with Reba McEntire. “Lots of stuff not meant to ever be released, just working on ideas.”

Fans Protested Leaks
Fans flocked to the Pretty Much Amazing! site when Clarkson’s songs surfaced, some of them defending Clarkson’s right to keep her work private. Others, such as one named, simply, “Rick,” said, “They sound pretty damn good! Excited for this ‘pop’ album of hers.”

One music critic from New York magazine’s Culture Vulture was also impressed – sort of – with Clarkson’s “With a Little Bit of Luck”: “This track will need more than a little bit of luck to put Clarkson back on top of the charts (more like a million dollars’ worth of production and engineering), but the melody’s not bad. We like it.”

Next up for Clarkson? Singing for Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to New York City on April 19.

We hear along the gossip grapevine that J-Lo has asked Tom Cruise to be the godfather to her newborn babies.
