Back To Doing What She Does Best..

In the past few weeks Amy has turned into a virtual recluse, now don’t get us wrong, there’s been plenty of comings and goings at casa de Wino with a bevy of celebs dropping by for late night visits but we couldn’t help but feel it would do her good to get out a bit more. You know, a bit of daylight wouldn’t do her any harm, which is precisely why these pictures of her getting out of London make such a refreshing change, even if she does look a bit ropey…

We caught up with the troubled singer this afternoon as she took a break from recording the theme tune for latest Bond movie Quantum Of Solace and that’s not the only music she’s been working on….

Apparently all those hours locked up inside her North London pad have been put to good use as she’s managed to record an entire CD of songs but before you get too excited it turns out they’re all for Blake’s ears only and she planning on giving him the CD when she next visits him… Hmpf!

Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz Get Engaged

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are getting married, they announced Wednesday.

“We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best,” Simpson said in a statement posted on friendsorenemies.com. “Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes – it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us.”

Simpson’s father, Joe, says he’s “totally happy” and “so excited to have Pete as part of (our) family.”

“We are blessed,” he says.

Simpson, 23, and Wentz, 28, the bassist for Fall Out Boy, have been a linked since the fall of 2006, when they were spotted kissing at a New York nightclub

Friends First
“I think the first day that we met that we were attracted to each other,” Simpson recentlysaid.

Because they were with other people, “Neither one of us did anything,” said Wentz. “That was good.” But they quickly became friends, even as Wentz found that “I was into everything about her.” Simpson felt the same way.

“He’s a cutie,” said Simpson, “and he has an awesome personality and kind of brings out the best of me and I knew that even before we were dating. There was just like an awesome connection we had.”

A year later, they were still going strong. “We’re past the honeymoon period,” Wentz said at the time. “The truth is, it’s crazy to be able to kiss your best friend. It’s just a really awesome thing.”

Speculation that they were engaged began last February when Simpson, the little sister of Jessica Simpson, was seen wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger. At the time, she said it was a promise ring and that, “It just means that he hasn’t asked my dad yet.”

The Hilton Has Landed…

Did anyone else just notice a dark cloud descending over Central London? Well there is a very good reason for that Paris Hilton is in town!! Scary, we know! The socialite turned groupie and her boy toy just popped into Harrods for a spot of shopping. The pair are in the capital ahead of Good Charlotte’s gig at the Brixton Academy on Saturday night. Aw, it’s not been a good week for poor little Petey, first he gets banged up and now to make matters worse it turns out nobody gives a shit! When the Babyshambles frontman got sent down his current girlfriend Irina Lazareanu tried to contact Kate to tell her the news but was told ‘She knows. She’s seen it on TV. She doesn’t care’ and she’s not the only one. The Sun reports:

‘When Wino was told the news by a pal she, erm, chortled… Pete’s just a comedy character to Amy. She thinks he’s a bit of a clown.’

Well at least he can rely on his fans for a bit of moral support right? Ha ha, no such luck we hear they are majorly pissed with him for letting them down and missing his planned gigs. Oh well Pete every cloud has a silver lining right? Expect in your case we’re struggling to think of one but we’ll let you know if we come up with anything..
